Overview:
The "Alluring Effects of Watercolor," one of the feature articles of the
Spring 2002 issue, showcases a plethora of inspiring watercolor paintings of
the horse by artists Joel Philips, Sandra Faye Oppegard, M.C. Churchill-Nash
and others. The "Power of the Pencil" reveals many talented artists views of
the most basic drawing instrument in the world – graphite. Also included in
the Spring 2002 issue are the adventures of Célou Bonnet – sculptor, jockey,
and trainer, who worked with the famous racehorse trainer Charlie
Whittingham. Bonnet's sculptures solidly deliver the essence of the horse.
