    Editor's Comments:

The impact of visual images can be so effective it is unforgettable. The human brain is able to recall visual images more readily than words. This fact is most disconcerting to the writers and editors of this world, but not to the artists. The advertising world has long since realized the power of images and uses them to induce you to take action. The Coca-cola in my refrigerator is proof of their ingenious manipulations of memorable imagery.

Collectors of the equine art that appears in this publication have seen an image that is pleasing to their eye and spirit. The work of art has triggered a favorable emotional response, and the benefits of owning the artwork go beyond adorning walls or the coffee table of your home.

Surrounding yourself with fine art creations of a subject you hold dear - the horse, reaps rewards on many levels. Revisiting treasured images from memory or those in your home can be very calming to the spirit and a source of joy. It is more than a purchase. It is an investment in mental health. As one artist stated:

"Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life." - Picasso

      Enjoy!
