Mindy Colton’s Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith, a bronze by artist Mindy Colton, won the Award of Excellence in Sculpture at the recent exhibit, Equus: Celebrating the Art of the Horse at the Deland Museum of Art in Deland, Florida. Her life-size aluminum sculpture, Wind Dancer, is in the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Sculpture Invitational that opened on April 21 and runs through June 21, 2006.

“Many of my works are a metaphor for human emotions and experiences,” explains Colton. “Leap of Faith is an example of this. If you want to really live your life, you have to take chances and forge ahead into the unknown… it can be a leap of faith.
