Western Art in Haunted Hanks Hotel

Deep in the heart of a historic ghost town lies Hanks Hotel. Legend has it that this former hotel is haunted by several deceased residents of Calico Ghost Town near Yermo, California. Calico Art Gallery now sits within Hanks Hotel, and the owner, and even her dog as well as others, has felt the presence of these specters. Perhaps the spirits are enjoying the art displayed in the gallery by several prominent western artists.

Award winning equine and western artist Sue Kroll of Virgin, Utah, is pleased to announce the inclusion of 10 of her newest paintings into the Calico Art Gallery. When asked about her paintings at the gallery, Sue said, “I am drawn to the arid landscape of Nevada and the plight of the wild horses and the miners’ burro descendants. I have tried to capture the combined essence of today and days gone by in my art.”
