Steve Posson Rendezvous — A Daydream
Prior to his focus on fine art sculpture, Posson studied automobile design at the Art Center College of Design in Southern California. He designed prototype bodywork for Jeep, Volvo and Renault, as well as motorcycle designs for Kawasaki, Yamaha and BMW. Posson utilizes his background in design with a passion for the ancient technique of lost-wax casting to create bronze sculpture. The sculpture Rendezvous convincingly conjures up a romantic scenario enhanced by the classic car and quality horseflesh. A lovely girl cantering along on her thoroughbred smiles over a fence at a young man in his beautiful Bugatti Type 55 automobile. She looks ready for a race. He just happens to have a picnic basket with a bottle of wine on the seat beside him..... |
